Episode 38: Common Caricatures of Catholicism
In this episode, Jacque and Megan discuss five common misconceptions or caricatures of what Catholics believe:
- Papal Infallibility means that everything the Pope says is true/binding.
- We worship Mary. We think she didn’t need to be saved.
- Saints have their own power or are on the same level as God.
- Catholics believe in work-based salvation.
- Catholics don’t read the Bible. Catholics put the Magisterium or Tradition over the Bible.
