Is Halloween a pagan or Christian holiday? Should Christians celebrate? We delve into this holiday and even tell you our own ghost story!

Our podcast was born from our friendship. We are two people with very different beliefs, yet a shared desire to have understanding and unity! We love to have good natured “Catholic vs. Protestant” conversations to bridge the gap between our faith traditions. On this podcast, we talk about real and difficult topics such as mental health, faith, sex, shame, and more to cultivate a space where we can all just talk about it. In a culture of social media outrage, division, and “cancelling”, we want to create an environment in which we can have fruitful discussion & disagreement.

Episode 62: I went to Lourdes! // Marian Apparitions & Miraculous Healings

Tune in to hear about Jacque’s experience visiting Lourdes, the site of a Marian apparition, and our discussion on how apparitions and miracles are authenticated.

“Between February 11th and July 16th 1858, Bernadette Soubirous, a 14-year-old peasant girl, experienced 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the nearby Massabielle grotto. During the 9th vision, an underground spring was revealed. The Holy See currently recognizes 70 official miracles attributable to Lourdes.”

How did you find the courage to step out of the relationship after investing so much hope and time into that person?
What is your advice for healing and moving forward after a break up, especially a long term relationship, where you pictured and planned a future with them?
What is your advice for women who feel they could be in the wrong relationship but are scared to leave?
What is your advice for a woman in a season of waiting?

Maria Gari is the founder of RunningMyselfTogether, a ministry dedicated to bringing Christ’s light to women through running and mental health awareness. She is a cradle-Catholic who discovered her worth in Christ while working through her eating disorder recovery. She now writes, speaks, is a run coach, and leads pilgrimages to help women understand who they are as daughters of God and eradicate the stigma around mental health in the Church.

If we have an unhealthy attachment style, how can we develop secure attachment?

Dr. Matthew Breuninger is an assistant professor of psychology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He earned an MA in Theology from Ave Maria University and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Baylor University. Dr. Breuninger is a licensed clinical psychologist. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. His academic interests comprise the intersection of faith and psychology, psychology of religion, and virtue formation.
